Poetry: Potpourri of Poets

The Library, Kent Theatre and the Community Players would like to invite community leaders to be a reader in our celebration of Poetry Month on April 30, 7pm. You would be able to bring one free guest. Local Women's Club member, Cindi Caldwell, is first to sign up and plans to bring props - a fishing pole with a string of fish, wear a hat and read barefoot! Come on...get in the spirit of this thing and jump in...the water is WARM

Read something that is special to you and others will like it and YOU for sharing. You would have a brief moment to share who you are, so this can be good for your business, as well. Doing things like this together raises morale and a sense of community...and say, it promises to be a really FUN time - a type of variety show. The poems can be funny, sad...you wrote it or you didn't...sung or recited...one person or a group, dress normally or in costume...let's have some fun! We need readers (ALL ages!) and an audience ($3 goes to pay our minimal bills and to share with the Kent as a fundraiser).

Use the entry form for our celebration so you can sign up and fan out this great opportunity to your family and friends, as well. Mark your calendars for April 30, 7pm at the Kent, and include April 27, 6:30pm for a practice at the Kent, as well.

Can't you just feel the fun we are going to have!! Email your entry to ced@llcoop.org asap (or bring it in to the CS Library), no later than April 15, subject - "Poetry Event". Please lend your support either as a reader or as a cheerful onlooker. Let's celebrate poetry, Spring AND Cedar Springs!!
